The Boat: Singapore Escape - Cannibalism at SeaDuring an escape to the Netherlands East Indies, one ship amongst many was lost whilst attempting to escape. The Rooseboom under Captain M. C. A. Boon, was taking around 500 passengers from Padang to Colombo.

Only two lived at tell the tale, out of 80 in a lifeboat designed to hold 28.
