Getting out is the only option...

escape by david mcmillanCareer smuggler turned author David McMillan has produced a wonderful tale of his life inside, and escape from, the Thai prison system's notorious Klong Prem prison after being imprisoned over a shipment of drugs.

The only person to ever escape and survive, he weaves a captivating tale of his captivity.

Detailing his various escape plots, McMillan makes no apologies and elicits no pity, and his descriptions of the foreigners facing death sentences or life imprisonment is a little bit chilling but none-the-less gripping, in that I was reading this while on holiday in Thailand, making the horrors of Asian prisons that much more vivid, and me even more paranoid about who I was travelling around with.

Kudos to Monsoon Books for another great release!
